About the ingredients

Dandelion
Dandelion is one of the most important phytotherapeutic plants. It contains a variety of active substances: lectins, triterpenes (taraxerol, Amyrin), carotenoids (leutin), fatty acids (myristic), flavonoids (luteolin, apigenin), minerals (4.5% potassium), phenolic acids, phytosterols, sugars (fructose, glucose and sucrose), vitamins (14,000 I.U. vitamin A per 100 gram) and inolin.

Dandelion possesses a number of important properties contributing to the weight loss process:
Stabilization of glucose levels: Scientific evidence shows that dandelion can stabilize blood glucose levels. This finding is probably due to high levels of inolin in the plant. Inolin is a long-chain, fructose containing polysaccharide fiber, which is thought to stabilize fluctuations in blood glucose levels. 1

Increasing bile flow: Consumption of dandelion root extract proved to increase bile acid flow and to improve digestion.

Diuretic action: Dandelion is known for its diuretic properties. The plant`s high potassium concentration makes it more efficient and safer to use than other diuretics, because it has no adverse effects on the heart.

Increased immune system activity and nitric oxide production: Nitric oxide is an essential component of immune system regulation and protection of the body.

Tyrosine is an amino acid precursor for the synthesis of thyroid hormones, adrenal hormones and dopamine.

L-carnitine
L-carnitine is an amino acid whose main task in the body is to transfer long chain fatty acids to the mitochondria - "the cell`s power station" - for energy production.

The body synthesizes carnitine from the amino acids lysine and methionine, iron and vitamins B3, B6 and C. Carnitine deficiency, which is very common, may lead to problems such as overweight, tiredness, increased triglyceride and cholesterol levels and cardiovascular disease.

Research found that healthy people who kept a weight loss diet in combination with physical activity and carnitine supplementation lost 11(!) times more weight in a period of 12 weeks than a control group, which kept an identical diet and engaged in physical exercise, but did not take carnitine supplementation.
