About the ingredients:

Studies conducted in recent years demonstrate the advantage of combining the two compounds: glucosamine stimulates the synthesis of glucosaminoglycan, an essential component of cartilage and enabling its repair, while chondroitin inhibits the enzymatic breakdown of cartilage, impeding the disease progress.
A double blind study combining glucosamine, chondroitin sulfate and manganese was shown to be highly effective in the treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee, with particularly pronounced, beneficial effects on alleviation of the symptoms (6).

Vitamin C
This ingredient enables the absorption of glucosamine and chondroitin in cartilage tissue and is essential for the synthesis of collagen, the "glue" that connects connective tissue with the bones.

Manganese
This mineral is needed to keep bone structure intact. It was found to be of help in osteoarthritic conditions: lack of manganese is related to a decreased production of mucopolysaccharides - the essential components of cartilage tissue.
