Vitamin B
Vitamin B makes up a collection of eight water-solluble vitamins that are each needed for various metabollic processes. Vitamin B1, thiamine, aids in strengthening the immune system. Vitamin B2, riboflavin, is important for healthy hair, eyes and skin. Vitamin B3, niacin, is essential for producing energy in the body by breaking down starches and sugars, and helps with migraines and depression. Vitamin B6, pyridoxine, supports muscle flexibility and helps relax the central nervous system. Vitamin B9, folic acid, is active in the most basic building blocks of life, including our DNA. Folic Acid deficiency can lead to slowed metabolism, constipation, tiredness, and in the worst cases, cancer. Vitamin B12 is essential for the correct functioning of all cells, especially bone marrow and nervous tissue, it is also required for red blood cell formation. The vitamin B-complex is a collection of all eight. Vitmamin B-complex is responsible for providing energy to the body during the conversion of glucose, from carbohydrates. Vitamin B-complex is also critically required for the metabolism of both fats and proteins, as well as the health and maintenance of the body's nervous system.
