SupHerb's iron drops are based on tri-value iron which is connected to a polymaltose polysaccharide (Iron Polymaltose Complex - IPC).  This unique form of iron has several advantages compared to iron sulfate (bi-value iron) including reduced side effects in the digestive system, good dissolution which improves absorption, and higher therapeutic response on the part of patients.
Tri-value iron's safety is also higher in the consumption of high doses due to its controlled absorption mechanism (absorption is conducted according to body needs and not passively as in the case of iron sulfate).  Iron Polymaltose Complex (IPC) does not cause oxidative stress as it contains tri-value iron which does not undergo oxidation.
